When will beta 7 (aka public beta 5) be launched? Will it have a fix for MS Outlook 2011, which is frozen. None of the betas have worked. As far as MS Office 2011, it's not likely to work on 10.11 unless Microsoft updates it or a newer version is updated to work with 10.11. As a rule, developers don't rewrite. Microsoft office 2011 for mac compatibility with OS X Yosemite i have purchased Microsoft 2011 on my OS X (10.8.5) i am wondering if i upgrade my macbook to OS X Yosemite (10.10) will my Microsoft office still work? Or will i lose my copy of office 2011. Microsoft Office for Mac 2011 is a version of the Microsoft Office productivity suite for Mac OS X. It is the successor to Microsoft Office 2008 for Mac and is comparable to Microsoft Office 2010 for Windows. Office 2011 was followed by Microsoft Office 2016 for Mac released on September 22, 2015, requiring a Mac with a 64-bit.

OT I know, but does anyone (Nadyne, I'm thinking of you) know if you can completely hide the rectangular buttons under the window title bar yet? I've tried to find a way to do this in Office2008 but it doesn't seem possible. The pill on the right is there but all it does is change the window size by one pixel. I'm sure there's lots of cool stuff going to be added to this area and, if you would allow me to have a full height view when I want it, I don't mind this extra functionality. Of course if you allowed it all to sit in a palette on one side of the screen I might even keep it open all the time!

If anyone can answer, thanks! Click to expand. You know, the palette thing is interesting. It's an obvious solution - my screen is much wider than it is tall, so shouldn't stuff go off to the side? But it turns out that this doesn't necessarily work very well.

Stuff off to the side tends to just get lost, especially when you have lots of different windows open. We've found that putting things in a palette off to the side results in people never being able to find anything. We've minimised the amount of vertical screen real estate that we take up, and we've provided the option to complete hide it if you want too (which is especially useful when you're doing some heavy-dut work in Excel and just want to see as big of a grid as possible). Give it a go when we release later this year, you might find that you like it better than you might think. My bolt. Regards, Nadyne.
