Please ensure your posts are tasteful and tactful. Thank you very much for your cooperation. There ARE differences between the two texts. I've been appointed to a state committee to do textbook comparisons between several of the larger text manufacturers, and my subcommittee is actually doing the IFSTA 5th Edition text. One thing you'll see is the option to have HazMat Ops included in the textbook. There's very little revision to the NPFA 1001 standard, but there are some changes (improvements) to all of the texts.I believe that IFSTA is selling two Ess.

You have the Ess. Of FF 5th and Ess. Of FF and Fire Company Operations 5th. The longer title has the HazMat Ops you refer to (or at least more in depth chapters, two that I could see, haven't gotten to though).
